Curricula require more than “just” the teaching of general science and, in line with progressive digitalization, increasingly computer science-based subjects.
>>The imprisoned, world-famous Iranian human rights activist Narges Mohammadi has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize by the Norwegian Nobel Committee for her fight against the promotion of human rights and freedom for all.<<
A topic that reaches too few people. In particular, too few people who should elect the new government.
Informing the politically forward-looking Gen Z and Alpha
The public should definitely be informed again and again about such unimaginably important figures, especially in relation to human rights, and in my opinion curricula should be expanded to include courses with such historically crucial people.
Generation Z (1996/97-2010/11) and Gen Alpha (from 2010/11) must also be made aware of such people and the topics involved as early as possible, from a certain grade level or with the teacher's assessment of maturity, and taught in this regard. >>The generations that are supposed to advance the country through elections that are due to the planned lowering of the age limit and are supposed to contribute to an unimaginable, changed "futuristic modern democracy."<< A responsible recipient can only elect new politicians, if at least one basic political knowledge and, in my opinion, basic social science knowledge, which includes crucial events such as the work of Nobel Peace Prize winners like Narges Mohammadi.
The German education system can be expanded
You can find out which subjects are currently being taught in the individual federal states using the links provided on the German education server. These links are primarily provided by resources such as federal and state governments, the European Union, universities, schools, state institutes, research and service institutions or specialist information institutions (bildungsserver, 2023). Here, arranged according to the German federal states, it can be seen that in general there is an ever-increasing selection of educational offerings that explicitly focus on religious teachings, foreign languages or the basic general scientific subjects (mathematics, German, geography, etc.),
BUT
Further-reaching, social-psychological, communication science topics that convey human values, current political issues, especially international issues that concern foreign countries, without political boulevardized influence on the primary sources, are simply missing here or are only introduced in additional advanced courses from the upper secondary school level at the earliest or offered in study modules at universities and (technical) colleges. This means that not every young adult is allowed to enjoy even more important education in these important topics, which are the basis for a proper election as a recipient of the politics that affects us all, as individual representatives of humanity. The Basic Law says: “Human values are inviolable.” (Art 1, Grundgesetz für die BRD).
How is a young adult, an individual, supposed to know exactly what values are meant here if these are not taught in German schools in the same way as a general science subject?
Non-partisan, non-profit initiatives as the following actions
This topic could go on and on.
And instead of just throwing nonsense out there, action should be taken and young people or young adults should be given the opportunity to learn about such topics early on through voluntary additional courses that bring with them a reward and, on top of that, with a certificate, they are a good qualification in application letters to be able to learn far more than what is usually taught at school in the basic subjects.
Two examples of this are the following initiatives:
Deutschlandstiftung Integration: which works on a non-partisan basis under the patronage of Chancellor Olaf Scholz for equal opportunities for people with an immigrant background in Germany. The scholarship program for talented young people with an immigrant background accompanies them on their way into the professional world and connects them with inspiring personalities and role models from various professional fields.
GermanDream : The non-profit, non-partisan initiative, launched in June 2019 by the journalist and human rights activist Düzen Tekkal together with her sisters, serves equal opportunities, educational advancement, a sense of unity, that EVERYONE, i.e. every individual, without racism, without isms, without Being able to live with enemy images with respect and respect for one another. The principle is the free democratic basic order. Volunteers who go through an application process can, taking into account the "Wertedialoge", as value ambassadors (Back To School) in schools or other educational institutions, convey immensely important human values and experienced stories or in nationwide projects (Raus aus dem Klassenzimmer und rein in die Projektwelt!) contribute. Schools are also allowed to register classes for a values dialogue.
On the one hand, there is a non-partisan (political) solution mentioned here to give "gifted" people with a migration background a better chance in the German economic market.
On the other hand, an (even) more people-oriented, non-profit solution, whereby not only people with a migration background should be supported, but all people should be given equal opportunities to be taught values on an equal footing.
Conclusion:
In order to give all people, especially young adults, an equal opportunity to learn about crucial, important topics in addition to school knowledge, not only does the municipality need to revise the school system, but it also requires the charitable initiatives of people who love society and are open to culture "fair modern democracy" work and educate with and for each other.
