Paris, Oh Paris - Joyeux Noël

I'm currently sitting in my favorite café and booked the trip I've been thinking about for days: Paris over Christmas 2023. This year is the first time for me to be "alone" at Christmas. Alone without family and/or friends. This is only physical, because in thoughts our hearts are always together.
Christmas, the festival of love, doesn't always have to be celebrated conventionally, that's my thought. My love for journalism and traveling, both of my absolute favorite topics, which I can talk about for hours and keep busy with for at least as long. (rather longer ;) )
L'Auto-Récompense Est Essentielle
2023 was a year full of ups and downs. My greatest personal success was enrolling as a journalism student. No matter which stones had to be crossed, I have mastered 2023 and am very proud of the personal and professional development I have achieved.
Rewarding yourself is essential! Especially on such gray days, even the greatest optimist can find it more difficult to keep the sun on his face. This makes it all the more important to push yourself and give your psyche a real kick from "Vit-D3". To reward yourself and thus also give you a further incentive to then push even harder than before in order to not only achieve the goals that you have set, but to achieve them better than you imagined.
So I combined my favorite topics and booked my trip to Paris for Christmas 2023. But not just any one! Typical Anna! ;)
Vas-y BOUGE !
“Come on now!”. Off to an adventure full of unpredictable ups and downs.
An adventure with unique experiences.
A trip that is only completed through spontaneous actions that you would probably never plan, but will also never forget and can therefore represent the ideal basis for an exciting and most likely hilarious story for a long evening together with friends and/or family .
I was in France several times when I was a teenager. Paris was also already on my past travel list.
But this time I wanted to try a “new”, daring route again.
La Vie Est Belle !
My motto "Live your life and fulfill your dreams with heart and mind".
Backpacking is my favorite method of travel and one that I have given a lot of love and attention to in the past. I met the most amazing people, went to places that I would probably never have discovered on the map if I had planned in advance, tried local products and experienced unforgettable, beautiful moments that made my heart beat faster.
That’s how I want to experience Paris again. This time in the “typical” local look.
There will be no hotels this time. And this at Christmas!
Voyage Mystérieux
On December 24th, 2023, I will take the long-distance bus from Duisburg on a ten-hour journey via Maastricht, Brussels, Mons and Co. to Paris.
Uncomfortable? Certainly not! All of my trips so far have been comfortable, no matter how long they lasted. It's more a question of how private you want to travel or how open you are to new adventures. ;)
On the road with my backpacking backpack, which has been with me for many years, I will venture into another unknown water: hostel rooms, especially for women only.
Three nights, three hostels. Cities shine with diverse people and places. I would like to capture exactly these diverse, authentic impressions and share them with you. Be it original "Parisian", intercultural views from other travelers, hidden passages and dreamy places. Paris has more to offer than just tourist hotspots. I would like to take you on an investigative journey and bring you closer to the real culture, away from tabloid news pictures or fancy travel blogs.
Déjà-Vu?!
In France, unlike in Germany, Christmas Eve is not celebrated on December 24th, but on December 25th. So I'll experience Christmas 2023 twice in a row.
So this trip holds three goodies for me:
1st time in Paris for Christmas
Experience “Christmas Eve” twice in a row in one year
Hostel overnight stay in all-female rooms
Off on an unforgettable journey!
